Spring in Kazoo?

Besides the great parts of Kazoo pointed out above - we are also one of the largest greenhouse suppliers of bedding plants to your favorite gardening/retail stores around the mid-west. Among other annuals & perennials, Bells Greenhouse specializes & stocks well over 100 varieties of tomatoes. Large, small, or even the extra small "spoon" tomatoes the size of your pinky fingernail - flavor just explodes when you pop them in your mouth. The area abounds with greenhouses: Wenke, Flowerland, Zylstra's, and more, all within just a few miles of the conference. Stock up on your garden needs this spring while also boosting your "X".

Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce has many more links to great local adventures for others in your family while you join us at the Kalamazoo X Conference, including fancy dining, some of the best nightlife, and daytime activities like the Kalamazoo Valley Museum (free & cool), or the Air Zoo (many planes on display including the fastest - none other than a real SR-71 you can walk right up to, flight simulators, and other cool stuff detailing air & space examples from our last century.

Bantam 'A' State Champions 2009

I'm celebrating along with my nephew and his family as his team just won the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association State Championship in Trenton, Michigan this weekend.

My nephew, Pearce, joined the Rochester Rattlers this year, after not being "asked back" by the Grosse Pointe Bulldogs. Sweet taste of victory as his new team played great defense keeping the Bulldogs from scoring to tie with 6 players on-ice (pulled their goalie in final seconds). During the 3 day tournament, my nephew popped in a winning goal and played strong defense to help his team to victory!

The MVP for the Rattlers? GO Kenny! He's been criticized for being a small goalie by some coaches - but he has good eyes and hands and gets in front of the puck. He has helped the Rattlers to many victories in Michigan and Canadian tournaments.

We wish all the Rattlers congratulations and of course thank all the teams who participated in the tournament - especially the host team - Trenton.

GREAT Amateur Hockey action in Michigan!
